Here in Southern Sweden Swedish is spoken, but folks who live up-country say that us guys here in Skåne (state) speak in a sluggish accent. Danish and Swedish are similar when spoken, but when written they differ a bit. Most Swedes I know, understand Danish and can communicate. The Danish seem to also do well with Swedish. Folks in both countries usually speak English as well. The English speaking is handy for me, as my Swedish is not so good. Small country with a very difficult language, at least I think so.

The parents were embarrassed, the guides thought it absolutely hilarious and some ladies from . . ., oh you know . . . nearly took ‘us’ to court’ . . .
