Thanks, Shannon! It was very good on the Danish rye bread. I’ll be making it again come next summer. Take care…

OHHHH MY GOODNESS you made the cheese AND smoked it??? Ok, that is amazing!!!! Seriously Ron, you guys are inspiring me to no end with your cheese adventures. This is so so cool! How I wish I had a slice of that rye with your delicious homemade rygeost. And if you ask me, yours looks just as good as the store-bought, and I am sure you can’t beat the freshness.

Linda, I would love to go to a cheesemaking class. We were set to go to a cheese-making and wine tour in Västerbotten (in Northern Sweden) this past June, but as with most, we had to cancel. Perhaps next June. I’m so glad when a post I write gives encouragement. Thanks for taking the time to have a read…

Thanks so much Alida! What fun it must have been to spend time learning cheese making and working in an Italian dairy. The rygeost has a very unique taste indeed, one I do believe you’d find interesting. Take care over your way…

I’ve never heard about such a smoked cheese, but it looks very good. I think I will spend quite a lot time reading your interesting article about Nordic Food 🙂
